Re: Looking for a TK advisor

I'll help however I can.

I probably still have the abdomen button paint in my stuff. I need to sew together a new belt so I'll be going through that soon myself. I'll try to post up my progress on here. I thought plastic belts were acceptable. Have they tightened up the requirements?

Re: C-3PO: We seem to be made to suffer.

That's awesome. I look forward to following your progress. Good luck with the build. I'm sure there are going to be some armor parties. Might be a good time for us to see if we can some progress done together.

Re: Looking for help from my Garrison brothers and sisters?

I would also like to ask for our support in the near future when it comes time to cast your votes for the new CTN Detachment DL. You have my support and my vote. Although, it would probably be a good idea if you sent out a reminder when the actual voting starts. It's in about a week, right. I misse...

Re: Clone Wars style gauntlets

Looks good. Harbor Freight's November coupon list will have a 15% off anything in the store coupon. Additionally their vacuum pumps are marked down right now too, so I'm probably going to buy a real vacuum pump. I'm not sure when I'll get around to hooking it up to my machine since it's not on my pr...

Re: Clone Wars style gauntlets

I've never used it, but it seems similar to a few other ideas I've had. Spackle should be fairly heat resistant. Tile grout is heat resistant and doesn't shrink. The downside is that if you put on enough to shield the foam underneath from the heat then you are going to have to remake all your detail...

Re: Clone Wars style gauntlets

Next is I know I need to figure out what to coat these in, to protect the foam from the heat and suction of the vac table, and to give me a surface I can smooth out and fill in the gaps Looks like you are off to a good start. I've experimented with similar things with my vac table. The pink foam bo...

Re: 327th Build

I don't think we have any 327th clones in the KC area. You probably want to check out Dallas's builds since he's 327th and you may end up standing next to him at events like PCC, so it's good to know what color he used. You will also want to check out his builds because he does fantastic work and ha...

Re: First build questions

I just wanted to echo what Serty and Nick already said. Clonetroopers.net and local support are a great starting point. There are a bunch of people in the area who have done Clones. Judge_Hellfast was the CT.N detachment leader for a while. He put together a pretty good set of links On our forum her...
