Re: TK advice
Not meaning to make the decision any harder, but are you going for a specific type of TK (ANH, ESB, ROTJ)? I ask only because it might make a difference in the type of accessories you want, as well as the helmet. As far as I know, full AM kits still come with the old FX bucket, which could look ove...

Re: TK advice
Thank you all for your responses. Unfortunately it doesn't make the decision much easier. (Although it also doesn't make it a whole bunch harder which was possible). I think I'm going to sleep on it for a couple of days then make a decision. I'm leaning towards the AM armor because it's more complet...

TK advice
I'm strongly considering getting TK armor, but I wanted to get some advice. I'm comparing AM vs ATA armor. Anyone have personal experience with either one and have some wisdom to impart? Are there any other makes I should be considering for inexpensive armor? I'm a little on the smaller side (are't ...

Clonetrooper DC15 Long Rifle
I started building the DC-15L blaster rifle a little over a year ago. I've made slow progress, but I think I've got something to show for it. I started with diagrams from the blaster builder club by WizardOfFlight. http://www.imperial-fleet.com/BBC/community/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=73 http://img.pho...

Re: Hasbro conversion #2
I think it looks fantastic. You even got that detail in the back and the cheeks look right to me. I've never seen anyone do that in a Hasbro conversion. If I was getting nit picky I'd point out the helmet taper is off, but you addressed that earlier. Also the seam on the brow ridge is still showing ...

Re: Hasbro conversion #2
Wow, this is looking good.
I'd venture to say this looks like it will be better than the helmets stormtrooperguy sells (a cast of a hasbro conversion). Dunno if you have thoughts about casting and selling them, but I think you would find a market.

Re: Hasbro conversion #2
Any feed back would be appreciated on what is done, needs to be done, or can be done? Thanks This is looking great. You seem to be hitting all the details. I'm very impressed with what you've done with the side vents. How have you reinforced it so that it doesn't split along the seam? Specifically ...

Sharpie safe clearcoat?
I had Weird Al sign the inside of my chest armor. Before I wear it again (next week) I was hoping to put something over it to seal it so it wouldn't get marred off. I tried putting some Sharpie onto a scrap and spraying polycrylic over it, but it streaked. Anyone know a good product to protect sharp...

Re: hasbro to cody phase 1
That is looking fantastic. You've really made those seams dissapear. I hope you'll forgive me for pointing this out. The only nit-picky deatail I've spotted is that you only have 5 vents on the sides, not the CRL required 6. I know cutting the 6th detail is a little tricky because of the way the hel...

Re: CraftRobo
I had never heard of a craftrobo before, that looks interesting. My robotics team uses a Cricut cutter. The default operation of the thing is to only cut patterns on a cartridge, but there is software around that can allow you to load your own patterns from a computer. Looks like it should be functi...

Re: Clone Shoes
Yes I did all my templates myself so I do have them. I am not what they call a comp. tech. but I am more than willing to share them if someone can tell me how to scan them in and what format to put them in for others to use. I'm not sure how that will pan out for others as far a scale and size? I h...

Re: Clone Shoes
Those are fantastic. It looks like you have solved some of the problems I've had with my shoes. I've had problems with the top bit of vinyl sliding out from under my shin armor. The other problem I've had is that the bottom of the calf has been digging into the vinyl and has nearly cut through it. T...

Re: Clone Shoes
Clone Shoes seem to be the biggest pain in the back side to build. They're not difficult to put together, just time consuming as all get out. But, has anyone been tracking this: http://forum.clonetroopers.net/index.php?showtopic=13015&hl= I would love to hear your thoughts. :D They look interes...
