I have made quite a bit of progress over the last few days. Here are some pics from my Waaaay too hot to be working on a cold character garage:

The inner workings of the back pack are on a removable panel for easy access. Here is that panel (Almost complete):
Image

Here is the wiring on the back of said panel. It was fun figuring all of this out...

this is the back pack in primer with all the lights installed and wired up. I still have some position adjustments to make to the two light clusters at the bottom, but let me tell you, this thing is BRIGHT! The black screens will tone the glare down a lot when I get it installed.
Image

Starboard side vents with glowy buttons...
Image

Port side vents with blue goo tube and lights...
Image

And here are the assembled tanks for the top part of the pack. I am going to add a small GothCorp logo to this piece, but for all intents and purposes, it's ready to be installed on the main pack once painting is complete.

I am really starting to get excited to wear this get up! :D

It seems like I've really made leaps and bounds the last few days... Here is the all but completed back pack in all it's glory:

Painted and assembled-

...and illuminated-

I gotta be honest. I am proud of this piece. It has taken nearly a year to the day to get this far. . .

more to come. :D

I haven't been over to your place in a while I guess! Everything looks AMAZING! I need to get over there and see it. Looks like all you need is boots and a suit. What's your plan on boots?

MOAR! ...but that just might be the glare from the light source messing with the amount on there.

How does that frosting hold up? Does it flake off or anything?

It holds up very well. If you really rub on it, a little comes off, but it's pretty durable. I believe that I may experiment with some light glitter (the herpes of craft supplies) and clear nail polish to give it that icy shine.

I believe I have the gloves nearly knocked out. Here are the uncut gloves that I bought at Harbor Freight:

Image

Here they are trimmed and attached to the "ribbed couplings":

I have some weathering to do and perhaps the addition of a few faux rivets for detail, but I am pleased with the supervillain-ness of them. :D

Now...the shoulders are winning right now as I am trying to get them carved out of foam. Here is a pic of my preliminary foam shoulder. I don't like the shape of this one, but I am recreating it. I am using this one as my test subject:
