I have pick up some PVC pipe and some sheet plastic to work on building a pilot box.
Still undecided about a color scheme. There are just so many choices from the series.

Great just what we need another clone...looks great, I had at one point considered doing this costume until I found I was a bit more interested in freelance work ;)

It been a while since an update.
I have been making progress here and there when I have a few minutes to work on it.
I have been working on the pilot box for the last little while.
It is all scratch built using 3mm sheet and some other sheet plastic that I picked up from a local sign shop and some PVC pipe.
It's heavily based on plans drawn up by TK-2292 on clonetrooper.net

Here is some WIP pics.

I ended up rebuilding the box. I found out when I went to add the pipe that it wasn't square.

Some of the detail pieces cut and laid out.

More pics

Curved pieces added and bottom "pipe" added. Threw some primer on to see how it would look all one color.
Curved pieces were hand cut from the sigh shop sheet and then heated with a hair dryer and bent into shape.

Image
Detail pieces painted black and laid out to see how they look.

Box all in white.
Image

Working on more of the detail pieces and deciding how to do the electrics for the lights if I add them.

COLOR!!!!
Thought I would post a couple of pics I had. I have had a few minutes between another project (Halloween) to put a little color on the helmet.
All taped off ready for paint.

Color (Krylon Global blue) and some scratches

I have tweaked the scratches a little, reworking some of them. I will post some more pics when I have time

This is one of those "named" pilot. Once I add one more detail you will be sure to get it
