70th Explorers and the 190th Air Refueling Wing

Members of the 70th Explorers Garrison participated in the annual Forbes Field Family Day event in Topeka, Kansas on June 9, 2007. Members were on hand to take pictures with event attendees as well as mingle around the air base. The Haze speederbike was a huge success again as it buzzed the tower several times at top speed. The Base Commander thanked garrison members for helping to make the day special. He remarked that 150 of his troops were leaving for Iraq on the following Tuesday and another set was scheduled to leave shortly. This event marked one of the memories each of his troops will take with them as they depart from American soil. A special thanks to everyone who made this event special.
