Anyone know when Battlestar Galactica start back up? And how many episodes are left?

My friend Nicci claims it's coming back Aug 30th.

There are ten episodes left (whenever it comes back), but one or two is likely to be multi-part, so there'll be like 11 or 12 episodes worth of show.

In looking for more info, I stumbled upon this from earlier this year: "Top Ten Reasons to Watch the New Season of 'Battlestar Galactica'".

<my best ricky voice>Faron, you've got a lot of watching to do...</end ricky>

I don't think it starts back up until January tho for the last 12 or so eps

I have been as disappointed in some of this season as I was in the third... but I swear to the gods, if the fifth Cylon turns out to be Roddy McDowall from the Planet of the Apes, I'll kill RDM with my bare hands.

If it turns out to be Roddy McDowall that would be a true miracle considering he passed away in 1998.

But then again, how many people die on TV only to return a season or 2 later?

HA!

BTW, I think my friend Nicci is wrong about it coming back in Aug. I can't find any reference to a premiere date on scifi.com, and all the news articles say Jan as well.

In June it was announced that the planned 10 episodes would be pushed up to 11 with several webisodes. They are also working on a TV movie that will be from the point of view of 2 Cylon agents before the attack on the 12 colonies.

As far as the last Cylon model... I think it will be someone that has been around since the beginning. Personally, I still think that Baltar has a chance but it will be interesting if it's some killed off character like Roslin's first assistant (Billy) or Cain.

I guess we'll all find out come January.

I think there are 2 obvious possibilities.

Baltar - I would never have said this before, because they had Six seducing him to get him to do their bidding. But knowing now that even they don't know who the final Cylon is, added with the fact that he has those visions that have been described as a Cylon phenomenon, I think it's possible... but not my first choice.

Starbuck - Come on folks. This is the obvious choice. In fact, a little too obvious. She comes back from the dead. She's been having visions her whole life of that Nebula or whatever it was. All signs point to her. And in fact, because of that, it may be that it's not her. But it sure does look like it.

Runners Up

Roslin or Admiral Adama - The leaders of the human race. The ones that so coldly tossed Cylons out the airlock. But probably not... for the simple fact that her assistant and his XO were Cylons. And dramatically speaking that's enough. Not the leaders... but the ones closest to them. Not to mention Adama has a son. But I suppose anything is possible.
