Experiencing the Force at Pottery Barn Kids

Evidently someone realized that our original trilogy bed sheets are now worn and faded, so they are bringing them back! The 70th Explorers, in conjunction with the Rebel Legion, Jedi Assembly trooped 4 Pottery Barn for Kids locations in Kansas and Missouri September 13th and 20th, 2008 to promote a new line of Star Wars bedroom decor. Acknowledging the philanthropic mission of the Legion, PBK agreed to donate $15,600 US to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital on behalf of our participating fan organizations---the largest single donation ever made in the 501st name.
The 4 stores gave out over 2400 tickets for kids to meet their favorite Star Wars characters. The lines started forming well before the noon start time. While everyone was happy to meet the Jedi and Rebel Fleet Troopers, Darth Vader and his Stormtrooper’s reputations were too much for some kids. And even though a few children were scared of Darth, most were excited to actually meet and get their pictures taken with the group.
