Ah, gotcha. It's looking incredible!TK 3181 wrote:The black is just a base coat. Krylon does not make a silver Fusion paint. (at least I haven't found any.) So, I used this black fusion as a sort of primer and I'm going to spray a bright aluminum over it. The bucket that I used for the neck seal was a very slick and waxy plastic, so I roughed it up with steel wool and sprayed it with the fusion hoping that it would bond well with the plastic.

You could always use some chrome car door edge guard around the bottom of the dome. That would finish it as well as be purdy.

Re: Dr. Victor Fries
Here is a little more progress and some lighting tests... Enjoy.
Here is the neck seal in silver at long last. Still needs a detailing, but not much.
Here is another lighting test. Looks like I am gonna have to supercharge the red in the goggles as it is being overpowered in normal lighting. (Also, the black trim on the dome edge will be chrome. The black was a quick fix for testing.)
...and here is how the lighting is in a dark room. I think the goggles may be out of juice as they have lost their glow.

Re: Dr. Victor Fries
You are very correct. I found some stuff called Sno-Tex that is a special paint for Christmas ornaments and such that looks like snow when it dries. I think I'll do a little icing to finish her off once all the hard parts are complete. Still waiting on my chrome parts to come back from the chrome dude. Then, it's shoulder armor and boots....miss_grievous wrote:You need some frosting!

YOU HAVE A CHROME DUDE? Is he cheap? I have all kinds of car parts that I need to have done and any kind of plating here in STL is really expensive. We need to talk.TK 3181 wrote:Still waiting on my chrome parts to come back from the chrome dude.
