On Saturday, October 24th the joint forces of the 70th Explorers, the Rebel Legion, and the Mandalorian Mercs, invaded the Topeka Zoological Park for "Boo at the Zoo." The "Boo at the Zoo" is the largest event put on by the Topeka Zoological Park and had 8,000 people go through the gates, which was 1,000 more than last year. The invasion was carried out under perfectly clear skies and sixty degree weather and Empire won the hearts and minds of Topeka Zoo patrons.

The combined forces entertained the crowds and provided armed patrols throughout the park striking from our command post in the Haunted Pavilion. Our battle hardened troops consisting of Ed Mosher (Darth Vader), Kerry Ellison (TK), Steven Blowers (T.I.E. Pilot), Gary Cook (R2-D2/New Republic Jedi), Phil Harley (Stealth Mando), C.J. Heth (Imperial Officer), Dave Heth (Death Star Gunner), and Bill Holmes (Biker Scout) Our loyal troops were supported by our corps of handlers and photographers consisting of Pam Alquest, Kari Peoples, Malorie Cook, and Karissa Holmes
