Used smooth-on rubber and smooth cast 300 for this tube. I was able to mount the model onto clay and then slide this scrap tube I had sitting around (fish tank rock cleaner tube). Filled it with the rubber and then cut the tube on only one side to get the mold out and cut the mold down one side to get the model out. I used dremel buffing wheel to clean up the inside of the mold and then inserted it back into the fish tank tube and filled with resin.
Finished resin cast

The middle picture reminds me of something....can't put my finger on it though...at least not while I'm at work...

I know...did not realize it until I finished...I may need to reconsider the shape of the end piece...

I snickered at the first picture cause of the shape of the object and the tube... I'll leave it at that.

So I started this week trying to cast my guns...note to self know how much material you need before ordering or you end up building a mold box 3 times over just trying to get the volume down to what you have on hand...
So while I wait for the box to seal up properly I worked a severl misc small parts:
Holster box
gloves (obviously my good friend from the state of Washington has the fingers)
Brass knuckle insert for glove
Bounty Hunter bedazzle
And a very rough dart attachment for the glove
Dusters done

So today I got a little box in the mail. While this is nowhere complete, I thought it would give a good idea of where we are with Cad. The material on my neck is the material the shirt will be made out of...it's an ultra suede called "buckskin". The glove is a common hardware store type with british tan stain. I will probably replace these with home made gloves from the same heavily oiled leather I am using for the Chaps (more to come on those). The gauntlets need to get pulled this week with construction being done next week. I really need to trim them up to allow better mobility...they are perhaps a little to much to scale with the Duros species. I did touch up the photo to avoide distractions with my lack of balaclava. Anyways here is Cad Bane tipping his hat to you!
