Tiblow Days in Bonnor Springs

Members of the 501st Legion, Rebel Legion, and Dark Empire came out to Bonner Springs on Saturday, August 24th to help kick off Tiblow Days, the city's annual heritage festival. It is celebrated the last weekend in August, prior to Labor Day. Bonner Springs was originally named Tiblow in honor of Henry Tiblow, a Delaware Indian who operated a ferry across the Kansas River. The city was renamed Bonner Springs in the 1880s. Those in attendance included Kyle Detrick (Sandtrooper), Greg Bosko (Biker Scout), William Holmes (Kir Kanos), Daniel Bailey (Custom Sith), Nick Letcher (Jawa), Jenni Bennett (Tusken Raider),Travis Macken (R2-D2), and Lianne Marie (Handler/Photographer).
