Transport
What do you all carry your gear to and from events in? I am debating between a footlocker on wheels or a army duffle bag. My concerns are space at events and in car also scratching my armor.

Re: Transport
A lot of the guys who can fit them in the car use the giant stanley or husky totes. Here is a link to the stanley ones:

I can't get one in the car myself so when I get my RC completed I'm going to have to get a bit more inventive on how to transport it.

Re: Transport
Saddly I doubt that will fit in my car. Also it looks large I owuld think a Scout kit would fit in alot less.

Re: Transport
They make a slightly smaller version at 27 gallons vs the 37 gallon tote. A few folks use those as well or just any other rubbermade type container that you can fit in your car.
I'm most likely going to use a flat cart with two totes for my RC, but that will be a lot more stuff than a scout.

Re: Transport
Everything of mine fits really nicely in a Pelican 1660 case. I carry my helmet separately in a dedicated helmet bag. Of course, I just looked up the MSRP on it, and it might be more money than you're willing to pay. Mine was military issue, so the cost wasn't a factor.
It's big, but it'll fit in the back seat of most cars.
