Hello,

Can someone provide me with links to buy the equipment for the voice amplifier and special effects?

The links listed on the sticky thread seem to either be out of stock or in England.

If anyone has a used system for sale, I would be interested also.

This thread may serve your journey to the dark side well:

Voice Changers/Amplifiers:
www.skullworx.com
www.romfx.com
www.hyperdynelabs.com

Hyperdyne and Romfx may appear as out of stock on items. You can send an email and inquire when they will have stock again.

I would actually recommend one of the small Teacher amplifiers as they are friggin loud and can definitely be heard by all. Someone might pipe in with the name of them as it escapes me at the present time. These you can actually find on ebay for a reasonable price.

Good luck my friend.

Hello again,

I finished wiring some fans into my helmet today. I used two small CPU fans and wired them to a 9 volt battery via an on/off switch.

They seem to work okay. Now I just have to get the voice amplifier and fx stuff and I will be good to go. :)

Thanks for the help Hellfast, its greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Chris A.

Hello,

I purchased a kit from TrikToys that is an amplifier and speakers. I installed the kit over the weekend.

My only complaint is that the kit doesnt make an automatic "static burst" when you finish talking. Im also going to have to rewire the headset. It wont fit inside my helmet while on my head.

Has anyone in the garrison used the kit from TrikToys?

Which kit did you get? I actually got my whole armor set from them. They gave me the external amplifier with the original kit I got. Later on I bought the speaker/aerators kit and used that instead. I picked up a hyperdyne static burst to wire into it as well, but to be honest, I never could get the squelch settings right and blowing into the mic works just fine.

I actually just glued the mic part of the headset into the helmet so I don't have to wear it. Head to my website for pics of the rest of the armor pieces.
