Jawa Progress
Many of you know I am making a jawa costume for my 6 year old daughter. here is the progress so far on her bandoliers.
These are pictures of the test fitting and the dye/stain job. I should be able to assemble them next friday and start dying the robes.

Thanks to Jeanette we have a completed Jawa robe. I think it looks great.
The mask is nearing completion it needs eyes still. The bandoliers are completed. I will post some pictures later on once Catherine is awake. We all stayed up pretty late working on it.
We need to alter the mask a little so it stands up at point. We are going to try to cut and run a seem up the back of the mask to try and do this.

Jeanette had a stroke of genius and figured out a way to do the jawa eyes the easy way
thats right two small rayovac flashlights attached directly to a headband. Then we used the bottom halves of two orange easter eggs. The eggs push directly on the ends of the flashlights with the black screen material in-between.
I also started on an ION blaster for her....I carved this out of wood today

This costume doesn't need to be canon so I am making it more kid friendly
I am making the ion blaster without a power pack (just seemed like huge trip hazard for a 6 year old)
I am also mounting her holster for her ion blaster to her back. The thing is long enough to trip her up or bang against her knee when she walks. I did at primo (polymer clay) to the top of the blaster to finish its look so you can't see the top of the barrel.
Here are some pics of the holster (not yet mounted) and finished ion blaster.
