Rock'n Ribs and the 70th Explorers

The 8th Annual Rock'n Ribs BBQ Festival was held in Springfield on April 20-21 to raise money for agencies that serve "Children of the Ozarks", including: Boys & Girls Town of Missouri, Ronald McDonald House Charities-Mobile Dental Unit, Ozark Trails Council - Boy Scouts of America, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, and the Good Samaritan Boys Ranch. Admission prices and entry fees all contributed toward raising money to provide specific programs and services to disadvantaged and at-risk children. Members of the 70th Explorers Garrison, along with the Springfield Fan Force and the Rebel Legion, appeared to support the event and had many pictures taken with those attending the BBQ Festival.
