Karen wears a camel back under her jawa robes. She just fills it with ice before she starts and has cool water under her hood all day.

Its not perfect but its a nice inexpensive option.

I took a page out of Brandon's book and altered the eye color a bit. I think this is a closer match. I also made some progress on the rest of the costume. this particular one is going to a friend of mine (and many other garrison members) http://dagobahswamp.dyndns.org/public_html/members/Administrat...

Sometimes baseball caps work really well as a spacer under the hood. I am still experimenting with getting the shape right.

Head looks awesome. Did you hem the sleeves of the robe? Just curious. I would say it needs a little more dirt. need to look at the hands and feet a little better.

Make sure to wear it for comic con please ;)

This might sound pretty elementary, but what is "dog Screen"? Dog screen is a plastic mesh screen that can be found at hardware stores. It can be found with the normal screen materials. Dog screen is used for screen doors where animals would normally tear through the fabric of the screen....

In comparison to other costumes this is a very simple project and actually inexpensive. Here is the cost break down for the entire Jawa costume Leather for bandoliers $50.00 (can normally make 2-3 sets out of this much leather) Textured fabric ~$1/yd $10.00 (you really wont need 10 yds per jawa) Swi...

to fix the flash showing through the material add dog screen underneath the eyes but above the base mask. It will deflect the light. http://a540.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/47/l_9af29a070f253ddfacc5e4bfa6d14efb.jpg These are the GO_LED eyes that Trenton and I are working on. Here is how I am d...

I walked around the house with one of the new prototypes using radioshack GO-LEDS for about an hour and I was able to function very very well. we covered the hockey masks with dog screen then used swim suit lining under that. I makes it so that camera flashes diffuse and don't show your face (or eye...

He (Josh) has always been very helpful when I have had questions and I consider him a friend. Besides it will take his mind off the Detachment Leader elections for a bit ;)
