Re: Wally's Cad Bane Build
So I am an impatient person so I thought before I did my casting etc I would paint the model to see what it might look like. I went with a 2-tone scheme here is the result. http://i456.photobucket.com/albums/qq281/TI7242/Marvin%20Starkiller/Clone/Bane/colorgaunt006.jpg http://i456.photobucket.com/al...

I did a quick mock up with the wrist collar and 2 temp boxes on top to see if you all had any other suggestions before I proceed... http://i456.photobucket.com/albums/qq281/TI7242/Marvin%20Starkiller/Clone/Bane/cadmock039.jpg http://i456.photobucket.com/albums/qq281/TI7242/Marvin%20Starkiller/Clone/...

Well they say you can't rush perfection and so far it's true. I've adjusted the angle of the top.

Re: Wally's Cad Bane Build
Did you happen to get in on that Cade Bane mask run on the main 501st forums? That was a doozy of a mask build. It's too bad the guy only did such a limited run of those. I actually did. Wyatt and I are collaborating on the project together...I can't wait to get the mask because I can do Cad in Clo...

Re: Wally's Cad Bane Build
I'm now at a point where I'm making adjustments. It is definitely a challenge translating "Alien" proportions to something wearable by the average trooper. The photo below show you how I have shortened the gaunlet in a proportionate manner. I will be adding a styerene box to the bottom to ...

Re: Wally's Cad Bane Build
So I've taken the initial card board gauntlet, covered it with fiberglass resin, filled it with "Great Stuff" gap filler, cut down the overflow and applied the first coat of bondo. I will apply a couple more layers and then move on to automotive bondo as I work it smoother. http://i456.pho...

Wally's Cad Bane Build
I have officially begun a scratch build for Cad Bane. I prototyped the gauntlets in card board. These are very rough but it gave me the general ideas on how to move forward. http://i456.photobucket.com/albums/qq281/TI7242/Marvin%20Starkiller/Clone/Bane/cadgaunt001.jpg http://i456.photobucket.com/al...

Re: Wally's Astromech
I think it goes without saying domes get dirty. After the event this past weekend I found my once shiny dome covered with finger prints. I tried to wipe it down with water but the problem is aluminum finished styrene does clean with water as a matter of fact it got worse. So I thought I would try to...
