Re: My DC15 Long build.

That looks great. The detail bits are looking fantastic. It looks like you're going to put my work to shame... again. I love the end of the barrel. The ring with spokes, is that part of the same PVC cap that goes over the bit behind it? Or did you assemble that from two different parts? I'm assuming...

Re: My DC15 Long build.

Indeed it looks fantastic (as all your work does). I can't wait to see how this turns out. I would be concerned about the structural strength. The DC15 long can be hard to hold together without bending under it's own weight. You've got a lot of separations that could be weak points. I had wanted to ...

Re: Commander Wolffe realistic helmet build.

Wow, that looks fantastic. I'm not sure if it's the lighting or the extra details, but it really pops in that last picture.

Re: Dr. Doom - FINISHED!!!

Wow, looks great! It's hard to come up with much constructive criticism for this, I had to check a few reference photos. The cape connection bits (the two big gold circles and the chain) look too high, it might be that your hood is partially covering them. Shading on comic book characters is always ...

Re: TK-2265

I emailed guy today and he got back to me I feel like that kid in the commercial making a PowerPoint telling the benifits of gettinga dog ......well yeah I gotta do that to the wife with this  Yeah, that's probably the most challenging part of the build... Convincing the wife to let you spend ...

I'm at a loss for words, that looks great. I'm a little disappointed to see you finish this. I've really enjoyed watching the build, thanks for posting all of this.

Re: Hasbro conversion #2

Wow, that's nice. My bucket's off to you. I see you don't have the chin greeblie. I'm assuming you took it off before casting it. How hard was it to get that off? Does it just pop off or was there more work required? I've had a second helmet sitting on my shelf for over a year that I've barely touch...

TK-2265

I would've put up a build log here so everyone could follow the fun, but my camera broke at PCC so I've had some difficulty getting pictures. So rather than put up the whole log I'll just start at the end. I've got AM armor with an MRCE helmet. I sewed the neckseal, canvas belt and holster myself. T...

Re: TK advice

Anyone have any insight into making TK shoes? I've been pinging tkboots for over a month now and he doesn't have any in stock. He seems to believe that they will be in "any time now," but if they don't come in soon I won't have them in time for my next troop. I'm getting nervous about this...

Re: The bucket has arrived!

That all looks great. How are you going to get into your chest and back with them glued together? It seems like I've read a ton of different methods for joining the front and back so people can get in and out. Strangely, I never considered making it one piece. I just assumed I wouldn't be able to ge...

Re: TK advice

I got my kit and I'm starting in on it. I got a little too enthusiastic on my first piece (the right forearm) and trimmed it about a 1/4" narrower than is really comfortable. That's got me a little gun shy about the thighs and calves. The thighs are huge. I know I have to trim for diameter, but...

Re: TK advice

Ok, so the next question. Does anyone have good information on the screen used ANH holster. I can find a ton of information on what people have made, but I'm having trouble finding out what thickness of leather was used, was it chrome tanned or vegetable tanned? Were they pop rivets, hollow core or ...

Re: TK advice

I've placed my order for a set of AM armor. I'll probably never know if the thicker ABS was worth the extra cost. I purchased a helmet with it I guess it's the FX helmet with a more rounded dome (or something like that). I've also got a MRCE helmet I got a few years ago. I'm a little timid with it s...
