Went back to see the surgeon today for the first f/u since Surgery on Dec 5th. Still a little bruising, and the incisions are still closing.........occassional swelling, but all in all, after Physical Therapy, I should be able to walk without a brace or crutches. My brother was in the Army for Operation Iraqi Freedom. And of course he doesn't talk much about it, nor would I expect him to.

But my biggest miff is with the TREATMENT of the Vets once they are home. The aftercare needs major revamping!
