Up to date progress. I had some help with the visor and mouth and the rest was trimmed out, filed down and sanded. First I cut out what excess I could around the inside of the base and removed about 1/8th of an inch around the back. Wow what a difference that made for space. Then I smooth sanded it....

That was not bad at all. We were able to save it! Picked up my supplies on the way home will start work tomorrow.
