Re: TK armor set info needed

Hmm...man I just don't know. First the one thing I'm short on is time and I can afford to spend a little extra. ATA price is $380 including the bucket. AM price is $513 without the bucket. I'm also thinking buying a premade bucket will be easier for me, which is what I'd do in either case of ATA or ...

Re: TK armor set info needed

Yikes. The more and more I read up on the amount of work I'll need to put into the ATA the more nervous I'm getting. I'm seriously considering possibly going the AM or TM route to get a more "complete" set of armor that requires less work on my end. I'm thinking I might not really have the...

Re: TK armor set info needed

I agree. I've been reading about all the charity/community events and I'm really looking forward to being to post saying I'll be there :) Order officially put in with ATA! Hopefully here in a few weeks I'll be pestering everyone even MORE while I'm attempting to put this beast together. Boots have b...

Re: TK armor set info needed

Talked to ATA again today. He gave me a few links to finished products. It looks really good (obviously the better craftsman you are the better it'll turn out). One last question I guess, this is a matter of opinion... ANH, ESB or ROTJ Stormtrooper? I like them all and can't decide which I'd like to...

Re: TK armor set info needed

My only concern is from the pictures he's sent me (pieces, not complete), I do not see the knee plate on the left shin guard. Maybe its just not in the pictures. Who on here actually has a completed ATA set? Would you mind posting a pic of your completed outfit? One other nice thing is he said he us...

Re: TK armor set info needed

I just got in touch with ATA. Looks to be a wait list of 2-4 weeks which isn't bad. So in the meantime what tools should I be getting? Looks to me like the specialized glue, tons of clamps and a dremmel (can never spell that). What type of paint should be used for the armor?

Re: TK armor set info needed

While I'd love something really easy to build, I think in the long run I'd rather have something more screen accurate.

Can you modify any of the suits to allow sitting or can that only be done with a certain type of material? Also, that doesn't void being 501st quality, does it?

Re: TK armor set info needed

So ATA would be who you would recommend going with? Again, stupid question but who/what is ATA and how would I get in contact with them? Again, forgive my noobish questions but thank you very much for your help!

Re: TK armor set info needed

Thanks for the info, thats quite helpful.

I've been thinking of going ABS based off of its durability. I'm about 5'-11" weighing about 175 lbs. If I got back into P90X like earlier this year I could get back down to 160 pretty easy

TK armor set info needed

Hello everyone! I've been lurking on the forums and checking out other websites and it looks like most info is traded through PMs. I've been digging around and I'm honestly a bit overwhelmed by the amount of information out there on Stormtrooper armor. I had no clue how much you have to sift through...
