so today, the glue was finally dry. i did make the masts removable, using tubes some suggested, also gave them a little tweek so they are tight, but can be removed. i also mounted the safety railing. at first i was going to make it from brass rod, but after checking all the photos i have dug up of a...

thank you sir. i have bondo drying on the planes now to make that flare at the base of russian stern planes to the hull. ill get some pics of that very soon. i need to build the creep motors on the stern planes next once im done with the flare. then ill extend the stern in length. then its paint time!

i cant believe i am here! i thought id never see this moment. i have the dive planes and rudders attached!!!!! i checked, and triple checked to see if they were square. they appear to be, but the true test will be how they look with the upper hull attached. i will see in the morning. http://i666.pho...

i went ahead and cut the control surfaces free of the rudders and dive planes. that apoxie scuplt is some tuff stuff, and my dremel had trouble cutting it. none of my other saws seemed to cut it. they will be tough! http://i666.photobucket.com/albums/vv23/thedarkknight_1988/Project%20705%20Alfa/0142...
