The Birth of a Legend !

Post by Necroboy »

I've been looking at the various sites to get an idea of how to obtain a suit of Biker Scout / Fett armor that would grant me membership into the 501st and 70th Explorers Garrison.

So far I've narrowed it down to some and would like everyones input since I'm the new guy to all this.

eBay - I've searched around and found multiple auctions for various pieces. The problem is I've heard horror stories about sellers with poorly made pieces and expensive junk. Which are the goods guys and bad?

This Guy ->

Each kit is a ONE Size fits all. The kits fit standard weight people with
heights from 5 foot 6 inches -to- 6 foot 2 inches tall.

Just to warn you, there is a good bit of assembly to do on the kit
once you receive it. About 12 hours worth.

The kit will consist of

- 1 chest
- 1 back
- 1 back hump
- 2 shoulder pads
- 2 biceps
- 2 elbows
- 2 kneecaps
- 2 Thigh boxes
- 4 belt boxes
- 1 belt buckle
- 1 thermal detonator
- 1 boot holster
- 1 black tank-topper
- 2 bicep t-bits
- velcro strips
- elastic bands
- web belts
- thermal detonator pipe/endcaps
- Zip ties
- 3 quickclip buckles
- assembly instructions

Here are picts of the armor kit.

cummerbund and pouches, black undersuit, black gloves or white boots.

I would PM any of the TB's in our garrison to ask them what they think you should do. You can find the list here http://www.501st.com/members/dsp_garris ... risonId=57
Good luck!

Studiocreations is not very reliable, from my own personal experiences.

Kropserkel makes a good kit. I recently purchased a helmet kit for my wife and it was pretty good. 3.5 out of 5 stars.

Be sure to sign up for: www.bikerscout.net. The key is to read, read, and read some more. Don't feel compelled to buy the first set of armor you come across. I would also suggest PMing the detachment armorer on bikerscout.net and asking them to help you locate good armor makers. This hobby definitely requires a large amount of research to know who the good and bad sellers are.

You're definitely on the right track by posting this here in your local garrison for advice and feedback.

This is the best advice I can give you when it comes to TB gear as I'm not an expert on the subject. Good luck to you on your biker scout quest, mate.
