weathering a prop

Post by TK-1161 Curt »

I thought I would share this. I was testing different weathering techniques on this gun.

Here are the before shots.

The right side was done with silver paint and a torn paper bag.

And this side was done with silver paint and a sock.

That looks great, Curt! It's funny how a little paint changes the way we enterpret things. We know it's not real, but the paint makes it look real.

I just made that because I wanted to try some different painting techniques. I am making a SE-14R blaster and I didn't want to experiment on that. I wanted to try some different things before I put the paint to the blaster.

This was just for fun. All I had to do to it was sand off anything that said NERF and paint it. :D

His (hellboy) was more of a breech loaded revolver, but it does look close.

After you said that I looked up his gun and you are right about the breach loaded revolver. It held 4 shots and the chamber is further back on the gun than this one. I may have to go buy another one of these and cut it up and build a gun like his. I don't think it would be hard to do. :D

Helltrooper! :lmao:
