I cut the helmet in half then added a 1 inch space that I filled with Apoxie Sculpt. Im still smoothing it all out and adjusting the lines and contours of the helmet. Apoxie Sculpt hardens like rock so its a real pain to sand and shape, but it means the new area is almost indestructable.

Im pretty sure it would make a helmet that would fit you. The additional 1 inch makes a HUGE difference in the amount of space inside the helmet.

Chris A.

I haven't thought about it, since I don't have the supplies to make molds. :)

Go to smooth-on.com. They have everything you need to get the job done. You can get the complete kit and it wouldn't be too difficult.

Well I've been MIA for the last few weeks, but I'm still working on my costume ideas. Here's the current workbench status:

1. Old Republic Sith 2%
2. Archer for RenFest 30%
3. Possible mods to my Norman Knight & still missing the helmet
4. 24 Day 5 CTU Security Guard 99%

I am currently making all new bandoliers for my two little jawas to replace the crappy ones that I initially threw together. They are turning out fantastically! Also, I have Mr. Freezes goggles nearly done and have started on the cold gun . . . going sooo slowly....

Have you been able to source a dome yet? I've been keeping my eyes open for ya, but haven't had too much luck in the search.

no, none. i conversed with Richie from Richies Armor and discovered that he was impossibly slow to communicate with, so I scrapped that idea. I am currently planning on trying to pull my own. It will be a little trial and error, but educational, I am sure. Any advice is welcome. =)

Well after the convention........and not being able to sit down at Braums for Lunch  I need to shorten the thigh's a bit :frustrated:

And after comparing Robert and Faron's Buckets to mine............we found that mine is smaller than the average FX! The eye holes are even smaller..................no wonder I struggle to get it on and off

So there are upgrades happening always..............actually had to make emergency repairs Fri night, so that I could troop Sat and Sun!!!
