Looking for Scrap ABS

Post by TB-3289 »

All,

I was curious if anybody (preferebly in the St. Louis area to avoid shipping) had any scrap abs that they were planning on getting rid of.

Anything larger then a 1"x1" would be appreciated.

I want to experiment with some different paints to see how well they work, and how they look.

Thanks
Tony

Contact your local plastics shop sometimes they have scrap they are willing to part with.

Cmndr Falken is correct. Try the local plastic shop first. If this doesn't pan out for you. Then try your local hardware store for plastic wall paneling. Here a while back Home Depot had PVC paneling for about $10.00. "For Sale" signs found at your local hardware store are made out of ABS plastic as well. Another alternative is to hit your local junk yard. Old shower stalls are also made out of ABS plastic.

Hope that helps! :D

I have a little bit of extra white ABS. I just bought an extra TK belt when I got my stuff, though that was probably a tad expensive. I used it for mounting snaps when I couldn't drill through my armor.
