well here is the latest update its all coming down to the wire I have 4 days till the Christmas parade. I have a lot painted and done. What I have left is paint the chest back and belly plates white, drill out the vent holes on the belly, paint the blue details on the forearms, knees, calves, chest, and back. Clear coat the pieces with blue to flatten the shine. Assemble the chest back and shoulder straps. Finish assembling and painting the belt and attach it. Weather everything but the elbows and knees, and of course make it all work together on me.
Here are some progress pics....

OK, I put every thing on for the first time and the knees are funky I am having trouble figuring them out I need to adjust the straps on the arms bring up the biceps and bring down the shoulder bells still needs some painting weathering and the belt need to be finished.
The solution I found is tether the top of the knee to the bottom of the thigh to where the knee cant slip underneath the thigh or turn sideways very much.

Yep I it turned out real well thanks to a lot of last minute painting and gluing. I like to thank Brandon for the brain to bounce ideas off of, the great weathering job and shoes, Kieth for last minute strapping help, and Mark Higgins for coming over two nights this past week to get every thing painted in time for the parade. You guys make me look good :D

So now as soon as my neck seal arrives (hopefully today) pictures to submit then rest.

I'll also take some pics of the full set for as-built reference.

So I really didn't want a heavy wooden gun that didn't do anything, so I modded the Kenner DC-15 toy (not the plunger gun). I cut off the barrel kept the nose of it replaced the barrel with a pvc pipe added polystirine lats Brandon made the grebles out of sculpey extended the folding stock wired LEDs to the end of the barrel and had Brandon paint and weather it. So its pretty close to the right size and look the only thing I wish I had done different was to have made the butt of the folding stock longer, the folding stock is bowed due to me having to screw it down and make it strong.

So I finally got around to upgrading my helmet I bored out the aerators installed new 3/4" speakers covered it with real sink aerators

Added a voice amp it sounds fantastic loud and clear. Surprisingly it all fits in the front section of my helmet with out it weighing the front down or being in the way.

I should have taken progress picks, but I'm going to be upgrading another helmet in a couple of months I'll try to remember to do it then

I believe its a Megaphone Kit PA form Electronic Goldmine we have been using these for over 5 years now the new ones we got were not working and we pretty much gave up on them but we finally figured out it was the crappy cheap integrated circuit it came with that wasn't working so we replaced it with new better quality one and it works great. I really got to give props to Brandon for helping me with the amp setup.
