ATA build

Post by quixotic5891 »

Mostly done with helmet minus some painting I'm just waiting for a template a guy from work is printing for me. Started trimming the rest which is quite the chor. I'm not really sure about how to fit everything together but I am sure I will figure it out. I spend most of my free time/breaks on http://www.whitearmor.net reading. Any advice is welcome.

Looks good to me - nice work so far! Are you going to go for EIB/Centurion right from the get-go? It's actually easier to do it that way than to work in the modifications later, although they are not at all difficult to add in after the fact, either. Just that if you're interested, you might as well go ahead and do them while you're putting the suit together.

I am aiming for EIB but I'm pretty broke due to both my kids and myself have birthdays this month. I was hoping to be done before Halloween but doesn't look like that's gonna happen.

EIB additions thankfully don't amount to much in terms of money. But like I said, they aren't difficult to do later if you want to go ahead and finish the suit and have it Legion approved first. That's what I did (#18 out of 262 EIB troopers), and the alterations were easy to do, even for someone who had just put together his first ever suit of armor from "scratch".

Only things I have left to purchase is boots, gloves/rubber hand guards, belt, under cloths and the blaster. I know the blaster is not a requirement to just get your TK number but it feels wrong to be a blasterless stormtrooper haha.
