I've seen some conventions centers that don’t allow loose ammo in their facilities. Also, if you ever take your armor on a plane trip; you might have to declare that you have cartridges in your checked baggage. ( I think I read something on TSA.gov about that issue.)

I would have to agree with using the dummy cartridges. Sportsmanguide is a good place to get these, CheaperThanDirt had some a while back, and sometimes you can find them at Gun Shows. I’ve seen some rifle cartridge ceiling fan pulls that might work; you can pick these up at Sutherlands.

Thanks for all the great respoonses to the bullet questions. What I did was utilize bullet casings for my gear. For those of you who haven't seen my gear, here is a pic. I'm still updating pieces and parts presently:

That costume looks awesome. :) So when it's finished, are you going to work on an AT-RT to go with it?

;) AT-RT Walker is 10% done. Hopefully this summer will be more production....

Drago,

I'll have to see how ambitious I get in the next few weeks. Right now, most of my concentration is going into the Iron Man project.

I've been tackling this costume again in an attempt to get it ready for D*Con. I completely tore the helmet apart in order to rebuild parts of it, redid the calf armor, added some belt boxes, began working on appropriate shoes and made the addition of a jetpack. I'll follow up with some more pics, but I was able to get a pick of the jetpack. It's not completely finished as I need to add some greeblies to it, but you get the idea:

Thrusters, I like where this is going. Will it work like the T3M4?

Probably not, but it'll look great when I finish it completely. I have some greeblies to add and some paint and weathering before it's really good to go. Unfortunately I'm in a rush to get all this stuff done before D*Con and my OCD is killing me at this point.

I completely tore my helmet apart in an attempt to redo the visor and other pieces. I'm actually super thrilled with the results and it will look like a completely new bucket when I'm done. I'm hoping to have new pictures of the entire costume by the end of the week. I have made it my goal to be completely done with anything that I can accomplish by the end of the week. It's a big task, but somone has to do it.

This is the same bucket with a few upgrades and modifications. I have a few other parts that went under the knife as well. It's looking better.
