So I'm in autocad...

Post by rebelbuttkicker »

Hey I've got this AutoCAD class with all of the fancy upgrade programs, and I am looking for some interesting ideas to do. I don't do the houses or piping. I do random starfighters, tanks, Car Wars compacts, etc. I just need some awesome ideas for my final. Any suggestions? :twitch:

It's nice to meet a fellow scribbler. (I have been a professional draftsman for about 13 years.)

I say really push yourself and draw up an AT-ST.

Good luck!

Sounds good, however I am having a hard time finding measruements for them apart from the hight. I could get by with that but I would rather have the hight of the cabin and its width and length. Everything else I should be able to get.

All you really need is one known dimension. There is enough photographic reference that you can scale the rest to photos based on your known measurement.

Got it done but the pics will be later, autoCAD wants to die a most painful death. :frustrated:

When I was in my drafting classes it wasn't a good day unless I crashed AutoCAD 2 or 3 times.

True, I just took screen shots (had to go to paint and edit it because we have a dual monitor set up) and may just make a lame youtube video. Maybe I'll through some of my other projects in their just for kicks and grins. Probably the animated video as well.

It's funny how they are teaching you upgraded AutoCAD to do videos instead of just inventor I guess it would just be a 2D video instead of 3D

We have inventor to, but this is all self taught. I prefer AutoCAD's setup anyways, its more user freindly. I can't stand building one peice at a time. :frustrated:
