Long story short: Darth Vader and Yoda are the 'special characters' in Soul Calibur 4, the latest install in my personal favourite fighter game series. Previously, Soul Calibur 2 featured characters from other games and which character your game had depended on which version of the game you bought (IE: Gamecube version had Link from the Zelda series). Three they skipped that idea, and instead had a 'build your own fighter character from scratch feature'.
I'm secretly hoping 4 has both!
Needless to say i'm pretty stoked at the idea of whomping the crap out of Dave as Darth Vader, though i'll have to buy a PS3 I guess (;_; ) Yoda is the X-Box exclusive character.
For those curious and not in the know: Soul Calibur series is a 'story fighter', and the central theme of the game revolves around an evil sword (or rather, a set of swords, a short sword and a claymore) called "Soul Edge" during the 16th century. Soul Edge is coveted by all the best warriors in the world, either unaware or apathetic of it's evil nature.
It's counterpart sword, the Soul Calibur, is the 'balance' to the Soul Edge, the 'good' to it's evil. This is where the name comes from. ^_^
