Imperial Officer Costume in progress, TIE on hold

Post by tigger68 »

Okay, I'm going to post here with notification that I have started my imperial officer costume.

I've got my rank bars, purchased the leather and belt blank for the belt, ordered my cap, purchased and modified the pattern for the tunic, and cut out the tunic.

As soon as I get pictures of the cut out tunic, I'll post them.

I only need to get the greeblies and the rank code cylinders, but that shouldn't be too difficult.

The TIE pilot is on hold until finances dictate otherwise. I'm probably going to be submitting my IC before my TIE because of that.

Looking forward to completion of my costume and acceptance to the 501st!

Yeah, for a while there I had lost my muchness, but I've got it back now. So very soon I'll be asking Ken for membership...like within a couple of weeks.

Okay, I'll be posting pictures on Monday of the tunic progression. Have to finish one part, just a small detail of the hem, and then it is done. I am sewing the cap today, now I just have to wait for my greeblies to arrive and then submit my application and photos.

I'm taking my pictures tonight and submitting them for approval. Hopefully Ken will say okay (please please please) and I'll be official sometime next week. Had to retailor the tunic because I've lost 22lbs.

Okay, here are the pictures (no laughing please...)

Here is the costume in progress:
Pattern cut out, just need sewing machine...

Body done, collar on, need sleeves, bottom of tunic, hems and fasteners.

Sleeves on!

Oops, lost 22lbs since measuring and cuttting out initially, better take it in. (Sammy the Cat agrees)
