Is this a good deal? I realize that the RC is not official (unless they changed that since I last looked) but it has always been my favorite, and I actually have enough. What else would I need, just in case my list is incomplete

The Republic Commando is an offically accepted costume for the 501st.
http://www.501st.com/crl/index.php (just keep scrolling until you see it, but they're all there: Delta, Omega and Grunts)

As for that kit, I really hope you didn't buy it. That has to been one of the worst RC kits ever and would take a monumental amount of work to get it to an approvable state. The backpack they show for this auction is enough to cause nightmares on its own. It looks to be a severe case of recasting. I know that the two main producers of Commando gear start their prices around $700 without shipping.
So to answer your question, no, this is not a good deal.

No I did not get it. Thats why I was asking first. Also noticed the back pack looked a bit fragile though it is good to know RC's are now accepted. Thanks for the help.

Yeah.... PA is the best but plan on waiting the better part of a year for a set. They have a waiting list about 6 months long last I checked.

This is the info email I got from Polymer Armory...it demonstrates both the wait time involved and the cost.
Also, just a side note: the "updated" CRLs are being published for the RCs and the accessories are now manditory for official approval (i.e. Sev's ammo attachments, Fixer's comm gear, etc.)

We are currently filling orders from an interest list started a year ago, so I cannot estimate when I can have a kit available for you. It could be a month, or it could be 6 months . I fill slots for 6 kit runs about 4-5 weeks before actual production of that run. At that time, I would need for you to confirm exactly what you want to order. Then, when you run begins production, I will send you a total with shipping. Payment is due at that time and your kit will ship within a week of payment.
I can add you to the list if you will send me your full name, shipping address, & an idea of what items you will want.
Please feel free to direct any questions to me.
Jack

That's the same email I got then I bought an OSCS clone suit, because they were "Johnny on the spot" with their product.
