Any Armor party's planned?
Hey guys, got my ATA kit a few weeks ago, but haven't really gotten started as I'm a little intimidated by the trimming. Just wondering if anyone was planning an armor party in the Kansas City area soon?
I made it to the troop at Lego land with my R2, and had a great time, I look forward to finishing the TK, so I don't have to worry about little kids damaging it, like I do R2. Also far fewer electronics to go wrong.
Thanks,
Travis

I'm playing Army this weekend, but I should be available to help out sometime the following weekend.
I'm starting on a new costume but don't really have any thing to work on yet so I would love to screw up.. Er uh... help with anyone elses.

It will be a few weeks before I could host one. Right now it looks like a bomb went off in my shop.

Re: Any Armor party's planned?
I want to get one planned here in the not to distant future. Anyone would be welcome, but would be at my place in STL so may not help some KC folks. Once I can figure out when to have one I'll post some details.

We will probably be working on various stuff all summer long at my place. With enough notice, can always do armor parties in the garage (needs to be cleaned up along with the sewing room, though ).

I would advise hitting armor parties at the Bedleam's estate because they rock .

As weird as this sounds on this forum...don't be expecting a bunch of help from me on any of the 501st approvable armors, though. Never put one together and have zero knowledge of what to do with them

Re: Any Armor party's planned?
I know it's kind of late now, but I could do an armor party at my place this Saturday evening or Sunday. Or next weekend if that would work better for everyone.

I actually leave town today, and won't be back until next Tuesday, if you wanted to do one the following weekend, that would be awesome, would love to have people to help me with fit and finish, also happy to provide some food and beverages if it helps.MisterFubar wrote:I know it's kind of late now, but I could do an armor party at my place this Saturday evening or Sunday. Next weekend it is. Is there a time or day that would work best? Looks like I'm pretty open that weekend.TMacken wrote:I actually leave town today, and won't be back until next Tuesday, if you wanted to do one the following weekend, that would be awesome, would love to have people to help me with fit and finish, also happy to provide some food and beverages if it helps.MisterFubar wrote:I know it's kind of late now, but I could do an armor party at my place this Saturday evening or Sunday. Re: Any Armor party's planned?
I checked with the boss and we don't have anything going on next weekend, so if there are other people that want to come, and have a time that works better for them, I'd say plan around them. Should we post this in the 70th explorers academy on Facebook? Also, if there's anything you want me to bring, food, beverages, whatever, let me know.

I'll post up on the Facespace tonight to see if there is more interest in one day over the other.
