TIE Pilot
Ok, I've got MOST of my costume going. Here's the status
helmet, chestbox, armor - being made as we speak.
have: German jack boots
Black gauntlet gloves
Balaclava & neck seal
patches
COMPLETED belt
working on: Flightsuit - the one I got was WAY too big so I hit a snag when I had to send it back. Also, I've found some tutorials on putting the pockets on the flightsuit, but they aren't very descriptive or specific so if anyone has anything better, please lemme know.

I'm very glad to hear that the official 501st TIE pilot detachment, the Jolly Roger Squadron, is being helpful to you. They are, after all, the experts in that costume type so it makes perfect sense to seek out their advice in getting your costume to be accurate and up to 501st standards for membership. I look forward to seeing your completed costume.GsWookie wrote:....I've gotten tons of help from the Omega Wing guys and also the MO leader from the Jolly Rogers.

GSWookie, PM or email me about the flight suit if you like. Or if I can help you with anything, LMK. You are looking in the right place. JRS is a great place to start. I know there is a thread on OW that talks about pockets. Or This site is a great one.

The tutorial that I have now is from that site and I don't think that the pockets on the flightsuit or the tutorial on the pockets is done very well. That's why I'm looking elsewhere. I'm hoping that maybe I could find some good screen shots (i know you've already sent me some - thanks!) and hopefully i'll be able to see some other TIE's in person here in the next few weeks to see in person what others have done.Rallyral wrote:GSWookie, PM or email me about the flight suit if you like. Is there a formal procedure for submitting my TIE? Do I just need to email you the pictures?Rallyral wrote:GSWookie, PM or email me about the flight suit if you like.
