What size plastic totes do you all have to put your armor in? I am finally going to replace the cardboard boxes I have been using.

I really liked the one Ral was using so I asked him where he got his and he told me Lowes. It is a 45 gallon tote with wheels so I picked one up for myself. Here is a link to it:

I use a nice big piece of roll-around luggage as my container. Roll-around luggage is nice because it has several pockets for other gear as well. I also like the roll-around luggage because I don't have to lean over to roll my gear around...which this is a problem for me with most totes because I'm so tall.

However, if I was going to travel with my armor by airplane and such, I would invest in something that would keep my armor from getting banged around such...similar to what DarthBarbieDoll posted.

This is the container I use.

I switched to it when I had to take the armor on a plane to Las Vegas for the Burger KIng/ ROTS premier. This is the largest container that most airlines will accept. I can get the bucket in it but I use an altered motorcycle helmet bag for that. That way I can carry the bucket as a carry item. I use a folding luggage carrier to roll the tote on. If you are not doing any flying with the armor than the tote with wheels would probably be the best one.

im having troble finding a tote!

How about a bigger car?? :lol: I would suggest finding one of those luggage strollers and stack some smaller tubs on it. The smaller tubs would be able to fit in your car much easier than the big tote.

Andy,
You could do what Josh (TK 1730) did. He has 2 smaller totes that are stackable and we installed small casters on the "bottom" tote. That way they fit in the trunk, but you can stack and roll them once you arrive at the event. Ask Josh what size (Gallon?) totes he used.

We had to get a bigger car because C3 was a bitch what with all that trooping crap crammed into the car, I couldn't move. ;_;

But I needed a car of my own anyways, so it was kind of a two birds with one stone situation (Yes, the woman drives the SUV, I'm a stereotype ;_; ).

That one looked so good, I bought it too. It won't fit in the trunk of my Saturn L300, but it goes in the back seat okay.
