I received an e-mail from LFL today. The event listed originally in this discussion thread did not have authorization from LFL to proceed with planning and details, so all posts and discussions about a possible future event in Branson, Missouri are suspended until LFL approval is given. Thank you.

Now, in ************** there will be a big charity event here in Branson, MO. Now the theme is Star Wars so we want as many people to come down here as possible so everyone is invited. As the year goes on I will let you all know how its going and I would love to know who all can make it, what costume/s you will be in that kind of thing. I will talk to the people who are setting this up to keep them posted on how many people will be showing up. Now, we are going to do the event during the day, trying to go to different shows different nights. Going to have a kind of parade walk thing happening. Right now it all in starting mode trying to get these things done but don’t worry because everything is going all smooth like.

The Branson troops are working on that. It's in the early planning stages. Wanna chime in here Drago?

whew, how'd I miss this thread? and how did it not get posted here back in october when we started planning it?

basically the idea is to have a gathering in honor or all the charity groups. How better than to have a custom tailored charity event to give everyone a fun time? some of the proceeds are designated to go to the Boys and Girls club and the Cancer Foundation. There'll be 2 shows - one friday and one saturday both geared toward the theme. the shows are:

both are excellent shows and the casts are pumped about doing a show for us. there are plans for live tutorials and demonstrations, as well as a kids room, and special guests. at the moment the company is trying to make it as cheap as possible for people to attend. however with the technicalities of the legion charter we're waiting on a few permissions at the garrison level to get the ball rolling (something about needing permission to invite the 501st members?)

anyway, it should be fun. dad's pretty much talking nonstop about it. it's kinda his pet project right now while I make a mauser and Mouse droid for him.

ah that explains the typos lol I knew it couldn't have been my dad. my sister karen must have posted it for him. I told him to post it himself *shakes head*
