Reliving my childhood...

Post by Darth Fox »

Okay. I was just on IMDB and hadn't heard of this yet.

I mean, I know that there were RUMORS of a live action G.I. Joe movie that have been going on for years, but now, I see that they are actually in the "filming" stage! Cool.

This is probably old news for all of you, but I thought that it is cool that the one and only Darth Maul is playing Snake Eyes.

Anyway. I hope it doesn't suck.

The only "Cool" member of the Joe team! I'm a COBRA fan myself:P

The Rumor is the film is PCed up and "A Real American Hero" won't be used I guess thinking of a Soldier as a hero isn't Politically correct anymore

I was wondering if they were going to go with the original Snake-Eyes as the "weapons specialist" or the newer "ninja" Snake-Eyes.

Guess now we know.

"And knowing is half..."

Oh...if someone says that, I will puke.

Things that had better be different than the cartoon:

1. Hopefully everyone will have a gun that shoots BULLETS. I never got what was so special about the laser rifle trooper if EVERYONE had a laser gun.

2. Enough with the parachutes. People better get shot down and actually die. Sounds morbid, I know, but life is morbid.

3. And to quote Eliott Ness in "The Untouchables," "A lot of things are half the battle; LOSING is half the battle." We've already covered that.

Anymore? Those were always my big three gripes about the cartoon (other than the cheesy, poor animation).

But the pics do look cool. Ray Park always looks cool. Guess we won't be hearing his real voice...again! I'd be starting to take that a little personally if I were him. :)

WOW!!! My dream has come true! A real GiJoe movie! I was a huge fan in the early eighties. I was not allowed to collect Star Wars toys, ONLY GiJOE! I owned everything including the comics... still do!

You made my day!

Here's the acronym for G.I.J.O.E. for the upcoming movie.

Global
Integrated
Joint
Operating
Entity

Global...not the greatest American Hero. That already pisses me off. If they want to make captain Planet and the planeteers then make that and let someone else make a cool joe movie!
