Thank you Veterans
Thank you Veterans for everything that you have given the rest of us.
I heard the definition of what a veteran is and I hope I remember it correctly.
Veteran - def. (noun) Someone at some point in time wrote a blank check payable to the United States of America with the amount upto and possibly including his or her life.
Last weekend I was in both the St. Louis and Florissant, MO Veterans' Day Parades. I was very honored to be a part of them and it was fun to drive my halftrack through downtown. The sad part was that there were more people in the parade than there watching it, that was true for both parades, but Florissant was the large of the two. Also there was very little to no promotion of these, except for a little blurb at the St. Louis Parade saturday morning a few hours before it started. There was very little media coverage them either. There seems to be a bit more coverage of today's events, which is a bit better, it also seems like it is politically incorrect to be patriotic. I for one remember the sacrifices that you all made.
Thank you Veterans.

Re: Thank you Veterans
BIG Thank You! My Flag was flown proudly today!
My brother was in the Army for Operation Iraqi Freedom. And of course he doesn't talk much about it, nor would I expect him to.
But my biggest miff is with the TREATMENT of the Vets once they are home. The aftercare needs major revamping!

Re: Thank you Veterans
The media didn't cover it because it promotes Iraqi Freedom. Stupid gits... (no offense to innocent media people, just the ones guilty).

Thanks to all who serve or have served. We owe you everything that we take for granted.
