Topps Widevision Return of the Jedi cards (1996) question

Post by TK1731 »

I was sitting out in the garage last night, and came across a large cardboard container I haven't seen in a while. Inside are two full size sheets of UNCUT Topps Widevision Return of the Jedi cards from 1996. They are still in really awesome condition (the corners of the sheets are ever so slightly bent), flat, and still as glossy as the day they were printed. :)

I've been looking online for some sort of price guide or whatever - anything to give me an idea of an approximated value. I figure they've been in this cardboard mailer for about 14 years now, so the chances of me actually framing them and putting them up in a display are about as good as my chances of winning the lottery since I never play it. So I'd like to sell them sometime soon, but I'd like to know what they're roughly worth so when and if I get an offer for them, I don't get cheated out. ;)

Can anyone out there give me any kind of helpful info? I've "Googled" a few different related searches, but without much luck at all.

I know there are trading card collectors out there that would probably love to get those. They contact me a lot to get my trading card. I think they have forums somewhere that would be a great place to start. I think somebody in the garrison knows where it's at. I'll look at some old emails to see if I can find any info. :)

Thanks, Curt.

I WAS lucky enough to find a picture of one of the two sheets online... Image

Makes me wonder what else I'll find when I head back out to the garage tonight... I have so many boxes out there labelled "Star Wars" that I think my wife is about ready to have me comitted.

i have the same one from QVC, the last set i watched on ebay didn't even sell for $5.00 which sucks because i seem to remember paying over 20.00 for them new.
