Re: I GOT IT!
Yeah there were two but still there aren't any three that look alike the movie he was a plain CT. The toy had the pauldron and ammo belt. the comics he had a puldron, ammo belt, comma, and pistols. So he's different in each one.

I'll have to go through my comics when I get back. I'm sure he only had the pauldron in them.

Re: I GOT IT!
Ok, so after wet sanding, primer, wet sanding, primer, wet sanding. Added the first coat of paint and it took really well no orange peel look great. So now one more coat of paint then weathering will start. I got the suit armor in Thursday night and i spent most of my weekend at G.A.M.E. trimming and fitting it. So now I have to glue and clamp the pieces together.

Re: I GOT IT!
So I got my biceps together my forearms and shins half done and I am starting on making the spoons. I also bought the shoes I'm going to replicate this process http://70thexplorers.com/board/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=3473
After I get the arms and caves done I'm going to slow down. I have been rushing to get that much done for Halloween

Re: I GOT IT! PIC HEAVY!
So now I have the arms done minus bondo and paint. I used floor foam padding for the padding in the shoulders and knees. For the elbows I used the pads that came in the knee and elbow guards I bought. I put rare earth magnets in the elbows knees and inside my knee and elbow guards. For the knees I used straps from construction knee pads. I don't think i will need elastic on the elbows so far. The hand guards were simple elastic.

Re: I GOT IT! PIC HEAVY!
I feel bad I was in such a hurry to get the calves done that I didn't take pics of the progress on them. I did get them done with the spoon method. The annoying thing is that I made them to fit my legs and I can actually put them on with the spoon already in place. Wasted a couple of hours on that. i got enough done I do my Halloween costume. Its a Halloween costume so I don't care how accurate it is. It was a good way to test drive what I got done so far.

Re: I GOT IT! PIC HEAVY!
OK so now that Halloween is done I went back and have started making everything seamless. Bondo sand repeat. I got my Belly lower back assembly put together and bondoed ready for some steel wool to dull it enough for a good paint job. Our new recruit Mark took my helmet up to his work and put the first layer of the final paint job I am planning on doing the toothpaste method to get the chipped paint style. and my thighs are half done. I never took picks of my shoes yet The first straps I made were too short. I still need to weather the new straps to match the rest of the shoe. Then all that's left is the cod/butt assembly belt and chest/upper back assembly. and I'm ready for over all paint.
