White Gasket Material????

Does anyone know where to find the white gasket type stuff that the ROTJ Stormtrooper costumes had on it? It was used to cover the bare edges on the chest and back plates. I have been to several Lowe's and they don't have it. Or mabye I am explaining it wrong? Any help will be gladly appreciated.

I would try an auto parts store.

Auto supply stores may have door edge guard in white. Or maybe they can order it for you.

Door edging is what they used in ROTJ. There is also an item called "windlace" that is used in older cars that is similar. I am not sure if you could find it in white tho. Most auto parts stores that are worth their salt will have the door edging.
