New blasters at Wal-mart

I found some new and interesting blasters at wally world the other day. They could get people like Dru, Andy, ... .. myself, in a lot of trouble.

I saw a DH-17 Rebel Blaster, it looked ok... but it was all sorts of colorful colors. orange, red, white, blue all on the same blaster. Which can be easily remedied. heh heh , now for the troublesome part. It was a nerf dart gun! On the back of it there are also going to be E-11's out soon. lol

I can see the headlines now...

Child nailed with nerf guns from strormtroopers.

Stormtroopers overrun convenient store with nerf guns.

I can see retrofitting the shooting mechanism with an E-11 look alike.

I picked up the Clone Trooper DC-15S Blaster from Target...fun to play with at least!

With some plastic paint:

It actually shoots pretty decently!

If you found it online, can you show a link? Sounds like fun.
I wonder if it would be 501st acceptable? lol

They have both the clone and RFT versions listed here. (and they have Ashoka and Plo Koon sabers available now? Don't tell my son! He's got every other one that was out previously...)

Anyway, you'll notice in my sig my the gun I use for my RFT costume is a modified and painted version of the nerf gun; I think the introduction of that gun is the single most important factor in the large increase in the number of RFT costumes created in the last year or so. I've got two still unpainted at home (one I'm going to do 'better' than the one I did the first time, and the second will be made into an all-black 'imperial' version (many imp crew/officer/pilots have had these from time to time).

I think the clone blaster is much less accurate than the RFT, so I would doubt it's acceptable for 501st membership (not the expert here), but the only real problems I've noticed w/ the DH-17 is that it's a tad bit smaller than the 'real' thing, and the pull-ring on the back for cocking it is inaccurate (which can be remedied in several ways, some of them even leaving it functional for shooting, which what's the point if it doesn't shoot... those darts stick SOOO well to ABS armor it isn't funny

As most of Squad 66 will attest, they stick REALLY well to my head as well. :stormtrooper:
