After some more work as well as procrastination, this 327th Star Corps clone is
very close to being done! I've weathered the armor as well as a little more work to the bucket; I filled in the old detail slots on the chest and cut out new ones that should be more accurately sized and placed; the calf spoons are good to go; and all of the 327th details have been added.
The weathering may still need some fine-tuning, and I've already decided on something different to hold the holster straps onto the belt. I had installed snaps, but they don't want to remain glued, so I may end up putting a bolt through the strap and into the belt. They are position directly behind the second box on either side, so I shouldn't have to worry much about punching all the way through the belt. I've also seen the straps attached through the kama and onto the armor itself, but that adds more weight pulling down on the armor itself and I'd rather not do that. I'm also redoing the velcro to hold the back part of the paldron down as it kept wanting to seperate from the back plate. Also I believe I messed up the painted-on stripe on the shoes, as it should mimic the same angle as the straps. The kama might be a tad too narrow...I'm still debating that bit. Well, a costume is really never truly finished...
Still, I'm pretty pleased with how it's all coming together. Hopefully it will be ready for submission soon and CT-2055 (after a 1 3/4 year process) will finally be ready to enforce Order 66!
