I looked thru the for sale sections and the Costuming tips and didn't see (that deosnt mean its not there) Info on the TIE pilots.
I have a buddy that is wanting to put together a TI, and has been looking into getting the bucket first. (I found him a chest box) but the only TIE Buckets I can find are Rubies
I didn't think due to the manufacturer that they would be 501st approved, but I am by no means the expert.
So I turn to you my 70th Explorer friends for help. I checked ebay, only thing I found was Rubies, and 1 Shepperton Studios (that things expensive) but I was under the impression he was sued by Lucas anyway.
I told him to check the 501st website for specs on TI.
Any other suggestions?????
Thanks!

Re: TIE Pilot
The JRS is the 501st detachement. They're good people, the helped my wife w/ hers. There's another site too, Omega Wing, that she used. (there link in them thar text, but I don't think it shows up well).
'Targ' is the one who she worked with the most. We've since met 'Vader Dave' from Iowa too, who's got some kind of posistion in the detachment... they're both good guys... I would recommend you talk to them.
There's another thread on here from not too far back about this as well:

Re: TIE Pilot
I use the rubies. Some mods to it and your good to go. I like the fact that the price is reasonable and if there is something that goes wrong or gets busted I can get another helmet and make the mods again.

Richies Armor builds all that's needed for a TIE Pilot except for the clothing pieces.

dans (DL) set is the way to go if you dont mind a 2-3 month waiting period.
